It is not only more convenient to use in formulations, but also easily penetrates the stratum corneum into the dermis layer, where it is broken down by biological enzymes to exert its vitamin C effects.

Vitamin C ethyl ether has better absorption and a penetration rate of around 58%

Several researchers from the University of London in the UK compared the permeability of VC ethyl ether on LabSkin models and human skin models. The results showed that the penetration rate of EA delivered through LabSkin within 24 hours was 55.1 ± 1.8%. The penetration rate of human skin is similar, accounting for 58.0 ± 4.2% of the applied dose (p>0.05).

Has a clear whitening and spot removing effect

In the article "The Anti Aging and Whitening Potential of a Cosmetic Serum Containing 3-O-ethyl-L-Ascorbic Acid", the ability of a combination of 30% VC ethyl ether and 1% lactic acid to lighten spots was specifically evaluated, which was conducted on the Reconstructed Human Pigmented Epidermis (RHPE) model. The results showed that the melanin content in the control group was 20.0 μ g/mL, while the melanin content in the experimental group decreased to 16.60 μ g/mL, a significant decrease of 17.10%.

Test content: Place in a room temperature/windowsill light/45 ℃ oven

Test results: As shown in the following figure, a 10% VCE aqueous solution does not require any protective agents or pH adjustment, and there is no color change under high temperature or light conditions; In contrast, a 10% aqueous solution of the prototype VC showed a significant color change.
