CDP choline is an intermediate in the generation of phosphatidylcholine from choline, a common biochemical process in cell membranes. Citicoline is naturally occurring in the cells of human and animal tissue, in particular the organs.

Main Functions of CDP Choline

1. Alzheimer disease. Some evidence shows that taking Cdp Choline by mouth might improve learning, memory, and the ability to process information in people with mild to moderate Alzheimer disease.

2. Lazy eye (amblyopia). Taking it might improve vision in people with a lazy eye.

3. Depression. There is some evidence that taking citicoline by mouth with an antidepressant called citalopram might help treat depression better than citalopram alone.
