Chrysin, also known as 5,7-dihydroxyflavonoids and chrysin, is a class of flavonoids with a wide range of biological activities. The Chrysin produced by Lutian Company is a light yellow fine powder. It is a raw material with a purity of up to 99% prepared by a synthetic method. It is insoluble in water, soluble in lye, and the alkaline solution is yellow-brown; slightly soluble in cold chloroform , Ether and ethanol. The product is usually found in traditional Chinese raw materials with the same medicinal and food sources such as scutellaria and propolis. It is also distributed in the seeds of the bignoniaceae plant Ophiopogon japonicus, and the pines mountain white pine. But at present, due to the need to adapt to industrialized large-scale production, most of them are prepared by synthetic methods.
Functions
1. Chrysin may have aromatase-inhibitory action.
2. It has antitumor activities, can suppress tumor cell multiplication and induce tumor cell apoptosis.
3. Chrysin's ability to inhibit the aromatization of androstenedione and testosterone to estrogens has been demonstrated in the laboratory.
4. It has the function of antioxidant activity, antiviral activity, antidiabetic action, reducing blood lipids, depressing blood pressure and preventing gene mutation.
Applications
