Basic Infomation

Dihydroquercetin powder as it is known in medicine, is a compound present in many plant species, but it is found in the highest concentrations in the wood of the Siberian and Dahurian Larch trees which grow abundantly in the northeast of Russia.

Dihydroquercetin belongs to the flavanone class of flavonoids. It has two primary effects in humans, it is an extremely potent antioxidant and it has powerful protective effects for the cardiovascular and immune systems, amongst other health promoting properties.

White or light yellow powder, colorless needle-like crystals (in 50% ethanol), its melting point is 240°C. It is easily soluble in ethanol, acetic acid and boiling water, and slightly soluble in cold water.
