Ascorbic acid tetraisopalmitate (VC-IP) is an esterified derivative of vitamin C and a new generation of derivatives. Other names: Tetrahexamethyldecanol ascorbate ester, esterified VC, fat soluble vitamin C.

Ascorbic acid tetraisopalmitate obtained the "Quasi drag Active" certification approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in 2006. It is an officially approved functional whitening agent in South Korea and the only "medicated cosmetic" among the 13 whitening ingredients approved by the Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare.
