Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (reduced coenzyme I) is a coenzyme that transfers protons (more precisely, hydrogen ions). It appears in many metabolic reactions of cells. NADH or more accurately NADH + H+ is its reduced form. It can be reduced to carry up to two protons (written as NADH + H+).
Beta-Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleoside Disodium is a biologically active form of niacin. Used as a coenzyme for hydrogenase and dehydrogenase. NAD normally acts as a hydrogen acceptor, forming NADH, which then acts as a hydrogen donor in the respiratory chain. Mainly exists in living cells in reduced form (NADPH) and participates in synthetic reactions. 2 forms occur, α-NAD and β-NAD, characterized by the configuration of the ribosyl nicotinamide bond. Only the β-anomer is biologically active.
It is an important coenzyme in the human body's redox reaction and appears in many metabolic reactions of cells. As an essential coenzyme for biocatalytic reactions, it participates in thousands of physiological reactions, such as the cellular tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA), fat beta oxidation, etc., and is of great significance in the metabolic utilization of nutrients such as sugar, fat, and amino acids. It is also the only substrate for coenzyme I consuming enzymes such as NAD+-dependent ADP ribosyltransferase. This type of enzyme decomposes coenzyme I (NAD+) as a substrate into ADP ribose and nicotinamide (Nam), and plays different physiological functions in different cells, such as participating in DNA repair, regulating cellular oxidative stress and other physiological functions.
NADH is a coenzyme and regenerative electron donor in catabolic processes such as glycolysis, beta oxidation, and the tricarboxylic acid cycle.
Human Endogenous Metabolite
β-Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) and reduced β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) form a coenzyme redox pair (NAD+: NADH); and its redox function, being an ADP-ribose donor unit in the ADP-ribosylation (ADP-ribosyltransferase, polymerization (ADP-ribose polymerase) reaction); and an Precursor of cyclic ADP-ribose (ADP-ribosyl cyclase)
Electron donor
1. Improve energy levels 2. Protect the cells 3. It promotes the production of neurotransmitters

NMN | 1094-61-7 | NMN is the most direct precursor of NAD+,and it is involved in DNA repair, maintenance of mitochondrial homeostasis, immune response regulation, and redox state regulation. |
NR | 1341-23-7 | After NR enters the human body, it needs to be phosphorylated by NPK1-2 to become NMN, which is also the precursor of NAD+, which can increase the level of NAD+ after ingestion. |
NAD | 53-84-9 | NAD+ is also called Coenzymel, and it exists in every cell and participates in thousands of reactions. Promote the metabolism of sugar, fat and amino acids, and participate in the synthesis of energy |
NADP | 24292-60-2 | NADP usually plays a role in anabolism (such as lipid synthesis, nucleotide synthesis, pentose phosphate pathway, etc. |
NADH | 606-68-8 | NADH is mainly involved in material and energy metabolism in cells. NADH plays an important role in maintaining cell growth, differentiation, energy metabolism and cell protection. |
NADPH | 2646-71-1 | NADPH helps to provide reducing equivalents for biosynthetic reactions, while maintaining the level of glutathione (reduced form), helping cells resist oxidative damage. |
