What is Centella Asiatica Extract Powder?
Centella asiatica extract powder, commonly known as centella and gotu kola, is a small, herbaceous, annual plant of the family Mackinlayaceae or subfamily Mackinlayoideae of family Apiaceae, and is native to wetlands in Asia. It is used as a medicinal herb in Ayurvedic medicine, traditional African medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine. It is also known as the Asiatic pennywort or Indian pennywort in English, among various other names in other languages.
The main active ingredient is triterpene saponins, the most important ones are Asiaticoside, Madecassoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid and other ingredients in Centella asiatica.

Asiaticoside 10%-90%
Asiaticoside is brown to white powder with bitter taste, soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in diethyl ether and chloroform. Asiaticoside powder has antidepressant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also helpful to relieve skin wrinkles, assist wound healing, treat skin diseases and promote intelligence development. Asiaticoside is mainly used in supplements and cosmetics.
