Gamma-glutamylcysteine is a dipeptide and is the most immediate precursor to the tripeptide glutathione (GSH). Gamma glutamylcysteine has many other names, such as γ -L-Glutamyl-L-cysteine, γ-glutamylcysteine, or GGC for short.
