Ibuprofen powder is a white crystalline powder, having a slight characteristic odor. It is practically insoluble in water, very soluble in most organic solvents like ethanol, methanol, acetone and dichloromethane.

Ibuprofen is a painkiller for pain and high temperature. So in other words, it can reduce inflammation and pain in the body, and it can also be used as a fever reducer. This includes painful menstrual periods, migraines, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Ibuprofen, also known as isobutylphenylpropionic acid, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug. 

Its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects are good and its adverse reactions are small. 

At present, it has been widely used in the world and become one of the best-selling non-prescription drugs in the world, and is listed as one of the 

three pillar products of antipyretic and analgesic drugs together with aspirin and paracetamol. In our country, it is mainly used in pain relief, 

anti-rheumatism, etc., and not much used in cold and fever, much lower than paracetamol and aspirin.

but most of the sales of ibuprofen in the domestic market are occupied by "Fenbid" extended-release capsules produced by Tianjin Zhongmei Shanker Company.

Indications

1, relieve rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondyloarthropathies, gouty arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic arthritis, acute exacerbation or persistent joint swelling and pain, no etiological treatment and control of the course of the disease.

2、Treatment of non-articular soft tissue rheumatic pain, such as shoulder pain, tenosynovitis, bursitis, myalgia and pain after exercise injury.

3、Acute mild and moderate pain such as: post-surgery, post-trauma, post-strain, primary dysmenorrhea, toothache, headache, etc.

4、It has antipyretic effect on fever in adults and children.

Increase the risk of stroke

Ibuprofen, as one of the commonly used over-the-counter pain relievers, is commonly used to treat arthritis, muscle pain, neuralgia, headache, migraine, toothache, menstrual cramps, or low back pain. A recent study published in the British Medical Journal found that people who take large amounts of the antipyretic and analgesic drug ibuprofen over a long period of time have a threefold increased risk of stroke or heart disease.

Researchers at the University of Bern in Switzerland reviewed 31 clinical trials involving more than 116,000 patients. The patients each took one of seven common painkillers. The results found that patients who took large amounts of ibuprofen over a long period of time had a threefold increase in the risk of stroke, as well as a significant increase in the risk of heart attack and death from heart disease. However, the study also showed that occasional use of ibuprofen for headaches was not dangerous. The study also found similar problems with diclofenac sodium, another popular painkiller.

The study found similar health risks associated with long-term use of ibuprofen as those associated with the anti-arthritis drug rofecoxib (Valoxicam), which was halted in 2004 because of safety concerns.

Usage and dosage

1. Adults take the usual amount orally.

(1) Anti-rheumatic, once 0.4g ~ 0.6g, 3 ~ 4 times a day rheumatoid arthritis than osteoarthritis dosage is larger.

(2) Pain relief for mild or moderate pain and dysmenorrhea, 0.2g to 0.4g once, every 4 to 6 hours. Adult dosage maximum limit is generally 2.4g per day.

2, pediatric dosage orally. 5mg/kg～10mg/kg per time according to body weight, 3 times a day.
