What's Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate?

Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (we'll call it MAP from now on) is a water-soluble and stable form of vitamin C. Once applied onto the skin, enzymes will convert into it Ascorbic Acid (the pure form of Vitamin C).

What Does Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate Do For The Skin?

MAP is a multi-tasker:

  • Has antioxidant properties: MAP destroys the free radicals that cause premature fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Hydrates skin: MAP increases the levels of moisture in your skin, helping it to keep it soft and supple.
  • Fades dark spots: MAP reduces dark spots, freckles, melasma and any other type of hyperpigmentation that's tarnishing your face.
  • Firms skin: MAP boosts the production of collagen, the protein that keeps your skin firm and prevents sagging.
  • Brightens skin: MAP revitalizes dull skin and gives your complexion a beautiful and healthy glow.

What Makes MAP Better Than Other Forms Of Vitamin C?

It's true that what MAP does almost all other forms of vitamin C can do. But, MAP does them better. Why?

  1. MAP is stable: unlike pure vitamin C, it doesn't throw a tantrum and stop working when it's exposed to light and air. It'll go bad, too, eventually (that's the fate of all things) but it'll last you a lot longer.
  2. MAP works well in small doses: as little as 5% is enough to fade dark spots (our MAP Vitamin C Serum contains a whopping 15% to make it work even better and faster – it's the most potent MAP serum on the market!).
  3. MAP is gentler: While pure Vitamin C has a low, acidic ph that can irritate skin, MAP has a neutral ph that causes no problems at all (this is great news for sensitive skin!).
