Magnolol is an active substance extracted from Magnolia officinalis.It has antibacterial,anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor,anti-endomycin,muscle relaxation and acute inflammatory pain relief.Clinically, it is mainly used to eliminate chest and abdomen tightness, calm the central nervous system, anti-fungal, athletes muscle relaxation, anti-ulcer and other drugs.

Magnolol is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C18H18O2. This product is brown to white fine powder, with aroma, spicy taste and slightly bitter taste. The monomer is a colorless needle-like crystal (water) with a melting point of 102°C. It is soluble in benzene, ether, and common organic solvents, hardly soluble in water, and easily soluble in dilute caustic alkali solution to obtain sodium salt. It reacts with Mirren's reagent, and brown precipitates appear, and red precipitates appear.
