tianeputine, alias (stablon). Its chemical structure belongs to the tricyclic class of antidepressants.
Its mechanism of action is a drug 5-HT reuptake agonist that acts completely opposite to selective 5-HT reuptake inhibitors.
Pharmacologic Actions
Tianeptine is a tricyclic antidepressant. It acts as an antidepressant by acting on the 5-hydroxytryptamine system.
In animal experiments, it can increase the spontaneous activity of pyramidal cells in the hippocampus and accelerate the recovery of their function after inhibition;
it can increase the reuptake of 5-hydroxytryptamine by neurons in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus.
Studies suggest that the product is rapidly and completely absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, with a protein binding rate of about 94%; the drug is metabolized by the liver, with an elimination half-life (bias) of about 2.5 hours, and its metabolites are mainly excreted through the kidneys, with the prototype accounting for only 8% of the drug. Elderly patients who are older than 70 years of age and have been taking the drug for a long time, the gas II of the product increases by about 1 hour. Studies have shown that pharmacokinetic parameters are not altered in patients with chronic alcoholism, even when alcoholism causes cirrhosis. In patients with renal insufficiency, t1/2 is increased by approximately 1 hour.
